Old Fashioned Beauty Tricks ( That Still Work )

Revive Eyeliner

With a lighter run the tip of your eyeliner pencil through the flame for a second or two. Afterwards, make sure to wait a few seconds before putting it on so it’s not dangerously hot. It will go on smoother than ever before.
Shiny Locks
Heat up half a cup of olive oil in the microwave for about 10 seconds. Apply thoroughly to hair and leave on for about twenty minutes (while rapped up in a towel). You might need more than one wash-through for your hair to be softer and shinier.
Dead Skin Exfoliate
Combine two parts organic sugar and one part coconut or olive oil. Gently rub into face for about 1 minute, then rinse with warm water. You can also use this concoction to treat dry, chapped lips.

Lighten hair naturally
Get a spray bottle and four lemons, squeeze the juice out into the bottle and combine with 1/3 water. Spray over your hair evenly before sitting out in the sun. Your hair should go a few shades lighter with every use! Lemons contain citric acid which can help open up your hair cuticles, mix that with UV rays, and you’ve got yourself a natural lightening agent.

Fly away frizzy hair

Sleeping on cotton pillowcases can cause static or friction in your hair, so sleep on a satin pillowcase.

Rag Curls

Was your hair and leave it damp with a light coat of leave-in conditioner and roll over small 2”x 5” strips of rags close to the root of your hair. Tie the ends and leave overnight.
